Miles Guo Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Case – Dispute Over Ownership of “Lady May”

Currently, Miles Guo is fighting against the Chinese Communist Party’s unrestricted legal warfare at the Connecticut Bankruptcy Court; on Aug 17th, Miles appealed to the Court requesting the Court to withdraw the granting the trust of the 18th Floor Apartment at Sherry Netherland ( the “Apartment”) to be transferred to the appointed trustee, Luc A. Despins, due to Despins’ motion “oversteps the English Law”. In addition to the ownership dispute over the Apartment, Miles’ Chapter 11 case also involves another ownership dispute, the ownership of the yacht “Lady May”.

On January 31, PAX’s counsel presented the Court with evidence that Miles is the owner of “Lady May”. The “evidence” is the screenshots of two social media posts from Miles, in which Miles posted pictures of himself sitting on a yacht and his comment about it.

The U.S. Supreme Court of the state of New York, New York County finalized the order on Feb 9th without a jury, it stated that due to Miles has failed to return Lady May back to the jurisdiction of the Court by May 15, 2021, therefore he is subject to a US$500,000 fine for each day, for the time when “Lady May” remained outside the jurisdiction; the Court also determined that PAX has “clearly and convincingly” established that Miles has a beneficial interest in and control over Lady May. The Court also stated that Miles has violated New York Judiciary Law 753 and is in civil contempt of the Court’s orders, so he is directed to tender immediate payment to PAX in the amount of US$134 million, which represents $500,000 for each day between May 15, 2021, and Feb 7, 2022; and the amount due to PAX shall continue to accrue at the rate of $500,000 per day until Miles returns Lady May to the jurisdiction. On Feb 15th, 2022, in New York, EDT, Mile signed for the filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy for the first time in his life during a live broadcast. According to Miles, HK International Funds Investments (USA) Limited, LLC (“HK International”) is the owner of “Lady May”; Qu Guojiao, the CEO of HK International, “disappeared” by the CCP in 2017 after being arrested by mainland police in Hong Kong; Miles also revealed that Sun Lijun, the former director of the First Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security of Communist China, led a team of more than 30 policemen to arrest Qu; Qu was arrested and taken to mainland China, but has not been found since.

During the live broadcast on July 21, 2019, Miles revealed that the CCP’s 6 steps of “dealing” with its enemies, which step one, to destroy your reputation; step two, to destroy your business; step three, to restrict their freedom by falsifying criminal record; step four, to repatriate them through Interpol Red Notice; step five, coercion, negotiation; step six, assassination, to which Miles said he has seen a lot. Liang Guanjun and Zheng Qi broke into his house many times, especially Zheng Qi.Over the last 5 years, Miles has thwarted all CCP’s 6 steps persecution measures, he believes his appeal in the Connecticut Bankruptcy Court will eventually succeed too.
