Sinopec and Other Five Chinese SOEs to Delist from U.S. amid Audit Pressure

China Life Insurance Co., announced that as of the date of this announcement, the Company has given notice to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in connection with its intention to file a form of application with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to delist the Company’s American depositary shares (ADSs) from the NYSE on or after August 22, 2022. Such delisting is expected to become effective 10 days after the filing of the application. The last date for trading of the ADSs on the NYSE is expected to be on or after September 1, 2022. From and after such date, the company’s ADSs will no longer be listed and traded on the NYSE.

China Petroleum ^ Chemical Corp., announced that it had notified the NYSE on August 12, 2022 (EDT) that it will apply for the voluntary delisting of its ADSs from the NYSE under the U.S. Securities Exchange Act, as amended (the “Exchange Act”). The company intends to file an application with the SEC on or about August 29, 2022, to delist its ADSs from the NYSE. Such delisting is expected to become effective ten days after the filing of the application. From and after the Effective Date, the company’s ADSs will no longer be listed on the NYSE.

China’s Aluminum Corp., announced that the company intends to apply for voluntary delisting of its ADSs from the NYSE and deregister of such ADSs and underlying overseas listed shares (H shares) by relevant regulations.

Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co., announced that it intends to delist its ADSs from the NYSE and file an application for delisting with the SEC on or about August 26, 2022. Such delisting is expected to be effective ten days after the filing of the application.
