Funeral Homes Across Northern China Are Increasingly Busy During The Spring Celebrations

On January 21st, it was reported that as the Chinese New Year approaches, funeral parlors across Hebei province are overflowing with bodies awaiting cremation. Those poor citizens who died in the countryside are being asked by the authorities to be buried immediately. According to information from funeral home staff in the Dingzhou and Shenze areas, funeral homes are no longer offering farewell ceremonies for the deceased, and families have to wait three days or more for the cremation of their loved ones. In the Chinese countryside, before burying the deceased, the bereaved families will hold a wake for at least 5-7 days, during which they will feast together with the people who come to the funeral. According to sources, such customs have been banned by the dictatorial authorities and require that the burial ceremony for the deceased take place on the same day. The CCP regime, to stop and intercept foreign media from reporting the truth about China’s COVID-19 Pandemic, announced on January 18th that it will launch a month-long campaign to regulate or in other words censor the online environment with immediate effect, closely monitoring what those returning from the city to the countryside say on the Internet. On January 18th China’s Gansu Provincial Propaganda Department notified all lower-level departments to monitor and block three foreign media reporters, accusing them of covering hospitals, community health service stations, and villages without official permission, and warning everyone not to talk about anything to do with the COVID situation in mainland China.
