Three Cryptocurrency Experts Have Died in Less Than a Month

It was reported on November 30th that Vyacheslav Taran, a Russian billionaire and co-founder of the cryptocurrency platform Libertex and the foreign exchange Forex Club, died in a plane crash. Reports state that Taran died in an accidental crash while taking a helicopter to Monaco in France last Friday. He died at the age of 53, making him the third cryptocurrency entrepreneur to die in less than a month in a bizarre, sudden death. According to sources, the crash is still under investigation, and the 35-year-old French pilot on board also unfortunately died. The Russian embassy in Paris confirmed Taran’s death this week. The French authorities stated that there is no possibility of homicide yet, but third-party negligence cannot be ruled out. However, another passenger of the helicopter canceled at the last moment. The specific reason for the cancellation was not disclosed as the weather was clear, which also left the cause of the crash a mystery. Ukrainian Independent Information Agency UNIAN pointed out that Taran may have contacts with the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service and is suspected of laundering money for Russia through encrypted currency operating systems. Presently, the news is still unconfirmed. Taran also became the third cryptocurrency entrepreneur to die unexpectedly in the past few weeks. Tiantian Kullander, the co-founder of the digital asset management company Amber Group, died suddenly in his sleep on the 23rd at the age of 30. Nikolai Mushegian, the co-founder of MakerDAO in the United States, drowned on October 23rd at the age of 23.
