House Intelligence Committee Should Continue Its Investigation Into Sequoia Capital’s Neil Shen

According to reports on November 20th, Colonel Derek Harvey, a former House Intelligence Committee investigator, and Brian Costello, a technology company manager, said in an interview that an in-depth investigation into the relationship between Sequoia Capital, Neil Shen and the CCP should continue. However, the top officials of the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) have been preventing a probe into the matter.

Colonel Harvey said that the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and other departments all realized that the greatest threats to American technological innovation, economic security and national security came from Communist China, which sought to influence, manipulate and coerce companies in all business sectors.

The House Intelligence Committee previously conducted an investigation into Sequoia Capital, sending them 28 questions about the role of their global executive leadership and their ties with the leadership of the CCP’s Politburo. However, Sequoia Capital never responded to the probes. Harvey noted that Sequoia Capital financed CCP’s high-tech companies carrying out both military and civil activities, which directly undermined the national security and economic interests of the US. Colonel Harvey also accused some senior officials in the DOJ and SEC of having been obstructing the investigations.
