UK’s New Prime Minister Makes A Surprise Visit To Kyiv, Pledging Support To The End

According to comprehensive reports, the new British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak made a surprise visit to the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, on November 19th and announced £50 million worth of military aid, especially air defense weapons.

Sunak posted a message on social media, stating that Britain knows what it means to fight for freedom. He pledged to Zelenskyy the full support of the UK and more humanitarian assistance for this cold and difficult winter until Ukraine gets the peace and security it deserves.

The new military aid package includes much-needed weapons for Ukraine such as anti-aircraft guns, radar and anti-drone equipment. Sunak took office in late October, and just finished the G20 summit in Bali two days ago.

Accompanied by Zelenskyy, Sunak also visited an exhibition of Russian military equipment destroyed by the Ukrainian forces. At present, Russian troops have withdrawn from Kherson, which means that the first train once again connects the capital to the war-torn city. Zelenskyy welcomed the “”important and useful visit”” and said that Ukraine is full of confidence in their ultimate victory.
