Taiwan Refuses Any Endgame Set by the Chinese Communist Party as Xi Jinping Stresses Not Giving Up the Use of Force Against Taiwan

President Tsai Ing-wen has expressed Taiwan’s firm position in her National Day speech this year. President Tsai pointed out that maintaining peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait and the region is both sides’ shared responsibility. She said that Taiwan would continue to stand firm on the “”four insistences”” and strengthen the “”four resiliences””, firmly defending national sovereignty without concessions and guarding democracy and freedom without compromise. She pointed out that a military confrontation is never an option across the Taiwan Strait, which is the consensus of the people of Taiwan and the international community and a fact that the current Chinese Communist Party must face.

The ROC solemnly declares that the people of Taiwan will never accept any endgame such as the “”1992 Consensus on the One-China Principle”” and “”One Country, Two Systems”” set by the Chinese Communist Party. It also said that only 23 million people in Taiwan have the right to decide their future.

The Land Commission emphasized that there has never been a new line of thinking and correct judgment in the Chinese Communist Party’s policy toward Taiwan. The Republic of China is a sovereign state, and Taiwan has never been a part of the People’s Republic of China. The people of Taiwan will never accept any endgame such as the “”1992 Consensus on the One-China Principle”” and “”One Country, Two Systems”” set by the Chinese Communist Party. Only 23 million people in Taiwan have the right to decide their future.
