Xi Jinping Threatens to Occupy Taiwan by Force, But Taiwan Will Never Compromise

It was reported on Oct. 16, when Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leader Xi Jinping mentioned the Taiwan issue at the opening ceremony of the 20th National Congress in Beijing, he first hypocritically said that Communist China has always respected, cared for and benefited the people of Taiwan, committed to promoting economic and cultural exchanges across both sides of the Taiwan Strait, deepening integration and development in various fields across the strait, improving systems and policies to enhance the welfare of Taiwan compatriots.

After that, Xi Jinping revealed his true face and said that the resolution of the Taiwan issue was the decision of the CCP. CCP will try a peaceful solution but will never give up on the use of force to occupy Taiwan and would even take all necessary choices.

In response, the Taiwan Presidential Office responded that Taiwan, officially known as the Republic of China, is a sovereign and independent country. Taiwan stands firm and will not make any concessions on national sovereignty, uncompromising on democracy and freedom. Armed conflict is not an option for both sides of the Taiwan Strait. It is the consensus of the Taiwanese. The national security team is closely monitoring the progress of the conference.
