Mr. Pompeo urged U.S. leaders to visit Taiwan

On October 10th, during Taiwan’s National day, former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called on the United States to be ready to defend Taiwan and urged the U.S. leaders to visit Taiwan.

Mr. Pompeo said the people of Taiwan are ready to defend their freedom and sovereignty. The prosperity of Taiwan’s economy and its peoples strength help others see that a Chinese civilization can bloom with the flower of democracy. Taiwan is the best proof of the fallacy of Xi Jinping and the Chinese Communist government, which will only bring the dictatorship of Marxism and Leninism.

He said Taiwan’s technology industry is closely linked to American life. The United States needs to provide the resources requested by Taiwan, and the U.S. must tell its allies that Taiwan must guard its freedom and sovereignty, which the entire region must also do.

By next January, Mr. Pompeo is publishing his new book, Never Give an Inch: Fighting for America, I love, which will include the importance of Taiwan. Pompeo said that American leaders need to understand the threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party in the Pacific region. He also added that the U.S. leaders must visit Taiwan in person and meet with Taiwanese government officials and the people of Taiwan.
