Former US Department of Agriculture Officials Beat the Drum for the CCP

According to a report on August 20th, Joseph Glauber, who served as the chief adviser to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) during Obama’s tenure, was recently designated as a special representative of the US Heartland China Association (USHCA), an American group infiltrated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), to assist the regime in hosting campaigns targeting US farmers and farmland.

The Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and the China-US Exchange Foundation (CUSEF), both of which are under the United Front Work Department of the CCP, have cooperated extensively with the USHCA. Glauber’s presentation at a conference sponsored by the group titled “Finding Security: US-China Agricultural Trade in a Changing World”, focused on how the US and China can work together to address the looming global food crisis, and future prospects for agricultural trade between the two countries.

Glauber is a senior fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), which also has deep ties to and funding from the CCP. At the very beginning of its establishment, the USHCA claimed to seek to build a strong relationship with the Chinese Communist Party.

Holding such a conference at a time when Beijing is trying to buy large amounts of farmland is evidence that the helpers of high-level left-wing government in Washington have embarked on the same path as the CCP, and further raises concerns about the communist regime’s insane subversion of American farmers.
