Japanese Prime Minister Tested Positive for COVID

The Japanese Government released a proclamation on August 21st in the late afternoon that Fumio Kishida, the country’s prime minister, had been infected with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) virus and tested positive by PCR.

According to reports, the Prime Minister has experienced a fever and a cough since the evening of August 20th and is currently recovering at his official residence. Kishida has no apparent health issues and can continue in his job, so there is no interim acting prime minister at this time.

The summer vacation for the Prime Minister began on June 15th, and Kishida was supposed to return to work on June 22nd. Additionally, the journey to the African Development Conference scheduled in Tunisia on August 27th will be delayed, and participating online becomes a possibility.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump, Vice President Harris, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, former British Prime Minister Boris, French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Justin Trudeau, and many other important political figures have all contracted the CCP virus in the past.
