Condemn CCP’s Military Exercises in Taiwan! Takaichi: Japan to Enter Battlefield If Necessary

In protest of US House speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan, the Chinese government launched a multi-day military exercise around the Taiwan. A capable officer of Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Liberal Democratic Party Rep. Sanae Takaichi posted a tweet yesterday on Aug. 5th condemning China’s military exercises in the sea area surrounding Taiwan.

Congresswoman Sanae Takaichi, and chairperson of the Political Investigation Committee of Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party condemned the Chinese government’s military exercises, in which five missiles were launched within a day. Takaichi said in her tweet that this is a very vicious and dangerous act, stressing Abe’s remark: “a Taiwan emergency is an emergency for Japan.” In response to China’s military activities, once Taiwan enters a state of emergency, the PLA Navy and Air Force will for sure be deployed between Tokyo and Atami, considering the distance to Taiwan, Japan will undoubtedly enter the “battlefield.”

The 61-year-old Takaichi, supported by former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, became the first female Political Poll Chairperson of the Liberal Democratic Party during Abe’s administration. She is also the longest-serving minister of Japan’s General Affairs and Communications. Last year, she’s had an online video conference with Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen exchanging views on regional security, economic conditions, and the industrial supply chains.
