U.S. Warns: Russian Troops will Commit More Atrocities Against Ukrainian Civilians

U.S. National Security Adviser John Sullivan warned on April 10th that Russian General Dvornikov is the newly appointed army Commander to oversee military operations in Ukraine. General Dvornikov has a history of brutality against civilians in Syria. Therefore, the United States should expect Dvornikov to continue planning atrocities against Ukrainian civilians in future operations, which can be even more brutal.

Sullivan said in an interview with the media that the Russian troops are preparing to launch a new offensive in eastern Ukraine, and more atrocities against civilians can be expected in this war zone. The Putin regime must take full responsibility for targeting and attacking civilians. Sullivan reiterated that the United States is committed to providing Ukraine with the weapons and logistical support it needs to prevent Russian forces from occupying more areas.

So far, the United States has provided $1.7 billion military aid to Ukraine, including Stinger missiles, Javelin anti-tank missiles, a large amount of ammunition and body armors. White House Press Secretary Psaki said that Dvornikov can be expected to continue more of the same atrocities that have been exposed so far. It is reported that Dvornikov is the commander of the Southern Military Region of the Russian Army. From 2015 to 2016, he was in charge of the Russian army’s operations in Syria and was given the nickname “Butcher of Syria”.
