The CCP ramps up military drone production despite apparent mediation for peace

According to news reports, Russia ratcheted up airstrikes on Ukraine while Emperor Xi Jinping hypocritically visited Putin on the pretext of promoting peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. Nightly drone strikes last Tuesday and Wednesday partially destroyed a middle school and two student dormitories in Rzhyshchiv, a town south of Kyiv, having killed at least five people and injured many. A foreign media report on February 24 stated that the Russian military was negotiating with Chinese drone manufacturer Xian Bingo Intelligent Aviation Technology for the mass production of drones capable of carrying warheads. The company could produce up to 100 ZT-180 drones per month, with each carrying a 30- to 50-kilogram warhead. When questioned about this allegation, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied it as usual. For two consecutive days on March 16 and 17, the Ukrainians continued to shoot down Chinese-made drones used by the Russian military on the battlefield.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been developing drones with its national power for sales worldwide, making it impossible for private capital to enter the drone market. According to reports, Communist China accounts for as much as 60% of the civilian drones and 40% of the military drone markets.

The CCP also continues to ramp up investment in drones. For example, the CCP’s investment fund for military technology “GuoDing Capital” recently provided 15 million Yuan in Pre-A round financing to the Chongqing Camel Aviation Technology Company.
