German And Lithuanian Lawmakers Visits Taiwan

According to reports, Lithuanian legislators visited Taiwan on Tuesday to show their support for democracy. They said that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been trying to use various methods to change Lithuania’s decision and attempt to thwart a coalition between Lithuania and Taiwan.

Taiwan hosted legislators from Germany and Lithuania this week, and Beijing opposed their diplomatic contacts with Taiwan, declaring that it is an internal affair in which other countries should not intervene. In response, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) conducted a large-scale military exercise targeting Taiwan from the weekend until Monday. The visit of the Lithuanian delegation is mainly about national security, national defense and strengthening economic exchanges.

Recently, many government representatives from different nations with formal diplomatic relations with Beijing, including the United States, have extensive business dealing with Taiwan and have established informal embassies.
