McCarthy Elected House Speaker To Address The CCP Threat As A Priority

On the early morning of January 7, after 15 rounds of voting, the fifth longest House speaker election in history was finally finalized. Republican speaker nominee Kevin McCarthy defeated his opponent by 216 votes to 212 to be elected Speaker of the 55th U.S. House of Representatives.

In his first speech after being elected, McKinsey revealed some of the China-related priorities of the 118th Congress, including considering the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as the greatest geopolitical threat. He stated that a special committee will be established to investigate Communist China’s issues. McCarthy said that the long-term challenges for the United States are the debt and the threat of the CCP. To that end, Congress will create a bipartisan special committee on China to study how to bring back the hundreds of thousands of jobs that have gone to China. The U.S. will win this economic competition, and that is his value and significance as Speaker.

As early as the mid-term election in November last year, after the Republicans regained control of the House of Representatives, McCarthy announced the creation of a special committee on Communist China issues. The committee will work to expose and combat CCP threats to U.S. cyber, trade, and military, and support the traceability of the CCP virus.

Miles Guo highly praised the historic election of the speaker of the House of Representatives in the Gaite live broadcast on the 7th. He hopes that the New Federal State of China (NFSC) will have such a fair and great voting procedure in the future. This election is of extraordinary significance to the development of the NFSC, as well as the cause of eradicating the CCP.
