France Imposes Strict Entry Measures On Travelers From China

Starting from January 1, 2023, the French government requires all travelers from China to present a negative PCR test result for COVID within 48 hours. It will also conduct random PCR tests on those arriving.

So far, of the 27 EU countries, only Italy and Spain require travelers to be tested for the virus upon entry. And health officials from EU countries have yet to reach an agreement on uniform entry testing measures.

Recently, during an inspection of the new protocol implemented at Charles de Gaulle Airport, the French health minister said that France will promote the implementation of this health measure at the European level and suggested that French citizens should avoid traveling to China unless necessary.
