U.S. Intelligence Community Blocks Investigation Of The CCP Virus Linked To Biological Weapons

According to the media on December 14th, a new report on the origins of the CCP virus by Republican members of the U.S. House Intelligence Committee states that the intelligence community has misled the public and thwarted lawmakers’ investigation into possible connections between the CCP virus and Communist China’s bioweapons program. Ohio Republican Congressman Brad Wenstrup led the new report on the origins of the CCP virus. The unclassified summary of this report concludes that there is clear evidence, based on various public and non-public information investigations, that the CCP virus was linked to the bioweapons program and spilled over to the human population during a lab-related incident at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV). However, the intelligence community concealed key information in its investigation report on the origins of the virus, leading to a potential public misinterpretation of the origin of the CCP virus that is inconsistent with the facts. The summary notes that the intelligence community has refused to provide oversight of the analytical integrity of this latest assessment because of its heavy reliance on outside experts who have conflicts of interest. In October 2021, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) released a declassified assessment of the origins of the CCP virus that did not reach a consensus on the virus’ association with bioweapons. To date, the ODNI has not responded to the new report. In January of next year, the Republican Party will take over the House of Representatives. It is reported that Ohio Republican Congressman Mike Turner will be the chairman of the committee. Previously, Turner made it clear that Republican lawmakers on the Intelligence Committees have prioritized disclosing hidden information about the virus’s origins and forming a final investigative report.
