Glory To Hong Kong’ Replaced The Chinese Communist National Anthem During Asian Rugby Sevens

On the evening of November 13th, the song “Glory to Hong Kong”, replacing the Chinese national anthem, was played at the Asian Rugby Sevens during the pre-game national anthem broadcast in South Korea. At the same time, the Hong Kong Bauhinia Flag was raised in the air. The song Glory to Hong Kong commemorates the Hong Kong Anti-Extradition Movement in 2019.

After this incident, the Hong Kong government showed great concern and expressed protest and dissatisfaction with the event organizers. However, “Glory to Hong Kong” is already known as the Hong Kong National Anthem among HongKongers. It represents the spirits of Hong Kong people bravely stand-up against the Chinese Communist Party dictatorship. They peacefully defended their freedom and fundamental rights granted in the Basic Law of Hong Kong and the Joint Declaration of the Government of Britain and Communist China.

The incident shows that the song has become a masterpiece representing the courageous Hong Kong people fighting for freedom. And it is respected and recognized by freedom-loving people all over the world.
