22 Aircrafts and 6 Warships of PLA found around Taiwan

It’s reported on August 14th, according to Taiwan’s Defense Department, as of 5 P.M. Sunday, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) had deployed 22 warplanes and 6 warships around Taiwan, and 10 of the 22 planes crossed the centerline of the Taiwan Strait.
Taiwan’s Defense Department said, the aircrafts include 4 Sukhoi SU-30 fighters, 2 Chengdu J-10 fighters, 2 Shenyang J-11 fighters and 2 Shenyang J-16 fighters, while a Shanxi KJ-500 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft entered the Southwest area of Taiwan Air Defense Identification Zone.
In response, Taiwan scranbled operational air patrol, navy vessels and land-based missile system to monitor the situation, Defense Department said.
The centerline was previously regarded as an unofficial border between the two sides of Taiwan Strait, therefore, breaking through the centerline represents a more aggressive gesture than Beijing’s frequency flights into Taipei’s Defense Identification Zone over the past two years.
Since August 4th, Beijing has conducted similar deployments every day, when it conducted military exercise by live-fire in six maritime zones around Taiwan. These exercises come after Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, concluded a 19 hours’ visit to Taiwan on August 3rd.
