China-US Technology Decoupling Leads To China’s High Speed Rail Outage

On the evening of August 12th, 2022, High-speed rail (HSR) delay occurred at several Railway Station including Chengdu East , Chongqing North Jinan West , Guiyang North, Shenyang North, and Nanjing South. On August 13th, a Chinese filmed the scene where all the HSR in Sichuan and Chongqing, southwestern China were being halted. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s authority of railway found an excuse on equipment failure.

On August 12th, the U.S. imposed a new wider range of tech-export restrictions on Communist China, including additional equipment, software and technology to produce semiconductors. A Chinese person said that the HSR operating system, which relies on chips and computer technology will crash if any factor fails.

According to Miles Guo, high technology consists of chips and communication, as the latter is the most important element. Miles also mentioned that the CCP’s telecommunication will collapse soon. The C919 plane will be unable to take off. The satellites will fall like running water, and the trains will derail frequently.

It is expected that train outages in China will become normal in the new future, as the decoupling of US and China involving science and technology continue..
