China’s Social Media Mocked the CCP for Empty Boasting

In the midst of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) hysterical clamor, the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan on August 2nd. In an effort to save face, the humiliated CCP threatening to conduct live-fire drill around Taiwan.

 The CCP declared that it will hold a “joint naval and air drills” from August 4th to 7th, shouting for test-fire conventional missiles in Eastern Taiwan Sea and long-range live ammunition firing in the Taiwan Strait, which was declared the night of Pelosi’s arrival. In addition, it plans to launch “important military training” around six sea and air domains in Taiwan, including the north, northeast, northwest and Kaohsiung, southwest of Pingtung, south of Hengchun and off the east coast of Taiwan, surrounding important the Inner Harbor of Keelung, Suo Bay, the Kao-hsiung Harbor and Hualian Gang, threatening to impose the so-called ‘three-day air and sea blockade’.

 Many online people in China are unconvinced by the CCP’s so- called ‘Manly and majestic’ arrangement and there are a lots of rebuttal voices without scruples on the CCP’s social media and Weibo.

 Some people groused that it’s blindly busy for nothing and do not even have the bravery to act offensively. Other comments included that even if the national football team has lost every game, at least players are on every game. Others advised to stop wasting ammunition, fish are innocent. Some people openly derided and saying if someone touched my bottom line, I will lower it. One of the most well-liked remarks has an insightful meaning, “Save some gas, yesterday the entire world was watching China.”

 Weibo reportedly went down on the evening of Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan in an effort to suppress the discontent of people living in China. All of the Weibo comment sections relating to Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan indicated that “inappropriate remarks have been screened, and some remarks will not be posted for the time being.”
