Wealthy Chinese Hires Body Doubles to Serve Prison Sentences

As reported by a foreign media on July 25th, 2022, the rich in the Chinese State are alleged to hire body doubles to serve their sentences. Reports over the years have shown that when rich people in China commit crimes, they recruit ‘substitute criminals’ to serve their sentences and stand in court for them.
This phenomenon was confirmed by a Communist police officer. If someone is powerful enough, they can simply spend money and stay free.
Back in 2012, journalist Geoffrey Sant wrote an article about Hu Bin, a wealthy 20-year-old who struck and killed a pedestrian while he was racing his car through the streets of Hangzhou. An article explained that the victim, a 25-year-old engineer from a modest background, was hit hard enough by Hu Bin’s vehicle that his body was found at least 18 meters away.
Sant added, “Hu Bin and his wealthy buddies showed casually smoking and laughing while waiting for the police to arrive at the scene.”
Hu Bin then hired one stand-in to replace him in court and to serve a three-year prison sentence in his place. Sant also spoke to a Chinese police officer who declined to be named and said that hiring ‘replacement criminals’ was ‘not unusual’ in the country. The police officer stated that the United States has the rule of law and China has the rule of man.
The law enforcement official went on to list several high-ranking mafia figures who have been replaced by subordinates to serve their sentences and that the family of the body double was taken care of by the mafia in return and paid a bonus for time served.
