Japanese Parliament Delegation to Visit Taiwan at the end of July

Taiwan’s representative in Japan, Frank Hsieh posted on Facebook that seven members of the Japanese Parliament will visit Taiwan at the end of July. Hsie’s post also stated the death of the former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who was a friend of Taiwan, will not reduce the support of the Japanese Government for Taiwan.

 Mr. Frank Hsie had dinner with the parliament members who attended a bipartisan study session on security. Hsie later released photos of parliament members Shigeru Ishiba, Yasukazu Hamada and others.

 Japanese Parliament member Frank Hsie said the death of former Prime Minister Abe, who wanted security and peace in the Taiwan Strait, we must form a delegation to Taiwan to show support for Taiwan. Taiwan’s Foreign Ministry the visit is being prepared.

 Taiwan’s Vice President Lai Ching-te, will represent Taiwan at former Prime Minister Abe’s funeral. The Chinese Communist Party( CCP) expressed its opposition to Ching-te’s attendance. The CCP stated “the political strategy of the Taiwan government to take advantage of Abe’s death will not succeed.”

 Miles Guo said the assassination of the former president would speed up the process of exterminating the CCP. Taiwan’s Vice President Lai Ching-te broke 50 years of official diplomatic silence, attended the funeral of former Prime Minister Abe, and jointly paid tribute to U.S. and Japanese dignitaries. Immediately after the Japanese parliamentarians announced the schedule of their visit to Taiwan, Japanese pro-China congressman Shigeru Ishiba was also one of them. It reflected a change of direction in Japanese political arena. It also strengthen Abe’s political idea that Taiwan and Japan are one family.
