Children Severely Traumatized By Russia-Ukraine War

Toby Fricker, an Emergency Communication Specialist with United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund(UNICEF), believed that the children population in Eastern Europe were worthy of attention when referring to the status quo of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
Not only did many children experience fears under Russian gunfire, but they were also permanently traumatized and scarred by the brutality of the war. The consequent spiritual and physical blows had immeasurable negative effects on these children’s future.
The continuation of Putin’s aggression would exacerbate this humanitarian catastrophe. Humanitarian relief organizations and UNICEF were now actively extending assistance to refugee children fleeing wars in Eastern Europe.
