Suzhou to Enhance the Prevention and Control of the CCP Virus Outbreak

According to a Chinese Communist Party media report on April 16, another city, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province announced a lockdown, following the announcement of the 2nd closure in the city of Xi’an, Shaanxi Province.

Suzhou administrative divisions will enhance regional preventive and control measures, the implementation of closed management, strict inspection of all entrants and exits. The official Weibo of Suzhou Municipal Government Information Office “Suzhou Release” issued an announcement to upgrade the epidemic prevention and control measures in Wujiang District, Wuzhong District, Xiangcheng District, Gusu District, Suzhou Industrial Park, and Huqiu District (Suzhou High-tech Zone).

Starting from 12am on the 16th, Suzhou will be on full lockdown with strict control of people coming in and out.The announcement mentions cessation of non-essential mobility, comprehensive strengthening of social control, cancellation of all kinds of public gathering activities. Non-essential personnel must not leave Suzhou, unless there is a special need and a negative nucleic acid test result within 24 hours. Work from home if possible. For those who cannot work from home, access to the office must be proven by a negative 24-hour nucleic acid test result or sampled nucleic acid on the same day.

For the above-mentioned areas of the communities and industrial parks, the government will implement closed management and so-called “one door, one guard” policy, with strict control of all people entering and leaving. Non-essential personnel and vehicles from outside are not allowed to enter.
