Biden thanked Slovakia for Sending Ukraine Air Defense System

On April 8th, Slovakia Prime Minister Eduard Heger said the country has sent its S-300 air defense system to Ukraine to help it defend against Russian attacks.

U.S. President Joe Biden expressed his gratitude for Slovakia’s actions. On the same day, Russia launched a missile attack on the railway station in Kramatorsk in eastern Ukraine, killing at least 50 civilians. Biden called it a “terrible atrocity.”

The S-300 air defense system will enhance the Ukrainian air defense forces. It is known that the U.S. has provided Ukraine with more than $1 billion in military support, along with Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, and the United Kingdom have also provided various military weapons to Ukraine against Russian invasion.
