Russian Troops Massacred Civilians, Countries Reacted Strongly

“On April 3, several media reported that the Ukrainian Prosecutor General said on the same day that they had found a total of 410 bodies of civilians killed by Russian troops in towns near Kiev, and Ukrainian prosecutors were investigating possible war crimes committed by Russia. Zelensky said in an interview on the 3rd that it was Russia’s genocide against the whole country and nation of Ukraine.

In response to this news, Western countries reacted strongly.

The U.S. Secretary of State, the Secretary-General of NATO and the President of the Council of the European Union expressed condemnation and anger respectively.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson condemned Russia’s “despicable attack” and said that any false information about Russia could not cover up Putin’s despair and the failure of his invasion.

The Polish Prime Minister said that the European Union must impose stricter sanctions on Russia and provide Ukraine with more weapons. At the same time, he called for the establishment of an international court to investigate the killings in the town of Buha.

The German Chancellor, the Deputy Chancellor and the Minister of Defense respectively condemned and called for stronger sanctions.

The Japanese Prime Minister also condemned Russia for serious violations of international law on the 4th.

United Nations Secretary-General Guterres said in a statement that it was “necessary” to conduct an “independent investigation” into the killing of civilians in Bucha, Ukraine.”
