Data Shows Communist China Continues to Send Drones to Russia for a Year

According to Russian customs data, Communist China has sold $12 million worth of drones and their components to Russia in the past year, and nearly 70 Communist China’s exporters have sold 26 different brands of drones to Russia.

Most of these drones were made by DJ Innovations(DJI), the second best-selling brand is Daotong Intelligence which sold nearly $2 million worth of drones to Russia. The U.S. Commerce Department already blacklisted DJI in 2020, but customs data showed that DJI products accounted for nearly half of all Communist Chinese drones sold to Russia.

The customs data was likely only part of a large number of drones that flowed into Russia, as many drones were imported to Russia through unofficial channels or Russia-friendly countries such as Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and Belarus. As a result, Russia has a steady supply of new drones, they are already being used on the front lines of the war in Ukraine. Communist China has become an increasingly important pillar of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, militarily, diplomatically, and economically.
