Apple Accelerates The Shift Of Its Supply Chain Out Of China

On December 3rd, sources familiar with the matter revealed that Apple Inc is accelerating the shift of its foundry production out of the Communist China in recent weeks. Apple recently told suppliers that they should more actively assemble Apple products elsewhere in Asia, particularly in India and Vietnam, and reduce their dependence on Taiwanese Foxconn Technology Group.

The eruption of protest at Apple’s contract manufacturer Foxconn Zhengzhou contributed to Apple’s major shift. Under CCP’s Zero-Covid and lockdowns, employees at Foxconn Zhengzhou were forcibly isolated inside the factory. Some people died due to lack of timely medical care, while other employees were even put into body bags before they died in several adverse events, provoking massive employee protests on which the CCP authorities conducted a bloody crackdown.

Related sources pointed out that Xi Jinping’s Zero-Covid lockdowns has turned the entire country into a concentration camp, and China’s position as a stable manufacturing center has been weakened by the various situations emerging over the past year. The recent Zhengzhou Foxconn incident has made Apple no longer feel comfortable tying a large amount of business with China.
