British Prime Minister Announces Golden Era With Communist China Has Been Over

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced on November 28th that the “Golden Era” of UK and Communist China has been over and considered Beijing’s authoritarianism as a systematic challenge to the western values and interests.

Sunak made the comments at the annual Lord Mayor’s Banquet in London and said the UK would confront the global competitors like the Communist China by strengthening its ties with like-minded global allies such as the U.S., Canada, Australia and Japan.

In addition, when referring to the CCP on handling the widespread protests across the country over the Zero-Covid policy, Sunak said the Beijing authorities chose to further crack down on the demonstration including attack on a BBC journalist rather than listening to the voices of their people.

However, Sunak failed to directly call Beijing is a threat in his speech, which is disappointing China hawks in his Conservative Party who have been expecting him to list CCP as a threat to British security and make it as part of the government’s foreign and defense policies.
