Senator Blackburn Recognizes Taiwan as a Sovereign Country

US Senator Marsha Blackburn stated that Taipei is qualified to be recognized as an independent nation in an interview with American media following her visit to Taipei. In order to face the axis of evil, which includes Communist China and other countries, Washington should provide Taipei with support that extends beyond the Indo-Pacific region. She claimed that Taiwan was eligible to be considered an independent state because it had its own founding father, constitution, cabinet, and military.

What the United States must do is replicate the process that allowed the countries that broke away from the Soviet Union to obtain freedom when it crumbled in 1991. Furthermore, Washington’s recognition of Taiwan as a sovereign state and independence would make it more difficult for Communist China to continue influencing the island, propagating the idea that Taiwan is an inalienable part of Communist China, and upholding the so-called One-China policy. Senator Blackburn went on to say that only by backing Taiwan around the world could the United States oppose the axis of evil, which includes Communist China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea. Washington should pay close attention to how Beijing utilized Moscow to attain its goal of global supremacy.

According to spectators, whether the call to recognize Taiwan’s independence and autonomy or the designation of Communist China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea as the new axis of evil indicated that senators at the Congress level identified with the views proposed by the Whistleblower Movement in 2019 and had begun to take actions to prevent the CCP’s malign conspiracy.
