Russia, Ukraine agree to resume grain exports for food crisis

Due to concerns about a food crisis triggered by soaring commodity prices, the representatives of Ukraine and Russia signed an agreement Friday at a U.N.-mediated meeting to resume grain exports, Kyodo News reported on July 22.The agreement was made in Istanbul during a four-way meeting that included the United Nations and Turkey. That will ensure safe naval passages after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine prevented access through the Black Sea.

A joint coordination center will be set up and run by the United Nations, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, and other participants in the summit. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, president of Turkey, and Antonio Guterres, secretary general of the United Nations, also attended the meeting.

While Russia and Ukraine are forbidden from attacking any commercial or private sector vessels transiting through the Black Sea, the center will oversee safety at the entrances to Ukraine’s harbors and search ships passing through Turkish ports for weaponry.

Ukraine is a major exporter of grains, but the Russian invasion has prevented those exports, which on Sunday will be five months since Russia started.

According to a U.S. think tank, more than 22 million tons of grain have piled up in Ukraine. Brief Comment: The food crisis is intensifying, and the politics in the Middle East, as well as in the world, are also changing dramatically. The venue for this negotiation was set in the capital of Turkey, where Putin had just met with Iranian President Raisi and Turkish President Erdogan, as well as with Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei. Mr. Guo disclosed that without Xi’s approval, Putin would not be able to meet with Khamenei.

The CCP is behind all these phenomena. The CCP, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and Pakistan make up the heart of evil. Turkey and Syria make up the other two. Just keep watching them perform!
