U.S. Sanctions Iranian Petrochemical Network

It is reported on June 17th, the Biden administration has sanctioned a network of Iranian petrochemical producers, accusing companies in Communist China and the United Arab Emirates of violating international sanctions against Iranian petrochemicals.

The Sanctions were announced by the departments of State and Treasury on Thursday, which accused the petrochemicals buying network of helping Iran evade sanctions and supporting these products to enter China and some East Asian countries.

The sanctions target three petrochemical producers in Iran; two companies in Hong Kong and four in the United Arab Emirates. Two people, Jingfeng Gao of Communist China and Mohammad Shahid of India, were also sanctioned.

The U.S. Government hopes the sanctions will force Tehran back to the Obama-era multination nuclear pact that was aimed at preventing Middle Eastern nations from being threatened by nuclear weapons.
