More Research Needed on Origin of Coronavirus Lab Leak Theory

The World Health Organization’s Scientific Advisory Panel on the Origins of Novel Pathogens released a report Thursday saying that more data from the Communist China is needed to understand how Covid-19 infects humans and to answer whether a laboratory accident is the reason for the pandemic of the virus, UPI reported June 10th.

The experts said they had reviewed all available studies but were unable to fully understand how the pandemic began by missing “key data.”

The 43-page report says the Scientific Advisory Panel on the Origins of Novel Pathogens will remain open to any and all scientific evidence that becomes available in the future to allow for comprehensive testing of all reasonable hypotheses.

Both the democratic countries and the WHO called for a second investigation after the report was released because they were concerned that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was hiding key data from investigators.

CCP officials have refuted allegations that the virus came from a single laboratory, as well as criticism about attempts to cover up the initial outbreak and failure to cooperate with investigators.
