The UK Projections Indicate Almost 2 Million People Will Suffer from Long-Covid

The data released by the UK Office for National Statistics on June 1st indicated that as of May, there were approximately 2 million people in UK who still had variously unpleasant symptoms 12 weeks after a CCP virus infection, accounting for 3% of the total population. This is often referred to as long-Covid by frontline doctors.
Among the UK’s long-Covid patients, more than 370,000 cases were confirmed two years ago while over 820,000 infections were reported one year ago. Common long-Covid symptoms include fatigue, shortness of breath, cough, and muscle pain.Among people taking two doses of CCP virus vaccine, those who ever got infected with the Delta variant developed long-Covid symptom more easily than the ones previously affected by the Omicron BA.1 variant.
As for people receiving three jabs, those who ever contracted the Omicron BA.2 variant were more susceptible to long-Covid than the ones previously infected by Omicron BA.1.According to another UK research results available in April, the repercussions of long-Covid for humanity could not be ignored as only one fourth of patients infected with CCP virus could make a full recovery within one year.
