U.S. To Hold the CCP Accountable for Its Atrocities in Xinjiang

On May 27, the U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price condemned the CCP’s persecution of Uyghurs in Xinjiang on the 24th, saying that the CCP officials who committed the atrocities will be further held accountable.
Price said the U.S. government is deeply alarmed by a recently exposed report showing that the CCP has been establishing concentration camps in Xinjiang since 2018. He believes that the report fully corroborates the previously disclosed evidence, satellite imagery and testimony of survivors and escapees from Xinjiang concentration camps. He also called on the CCP to immediately release the illegally detained people in Xinjiang, abolish the internment camps, and end mass detention, torture for sterilization, and forced labor.
Price also said the U.S. government is deeply concerned about the CCP’s denial and continuation of relevant atrocities, also regarding the failure to handle the concerns of the international community transparently. We will work with our allies to hold them accountable for the CCP’s atrocities.
