NATO: The CCP Poses Serious Challenge To Security And Democracy

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on April 7, local time, because the China (CCP regime) has been reluctant to issue a condemnation of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. At the same time, it joined Russia in opposing the right of other countries to freely choose their own path. Theses moves have exacerbated the challenge posed by Beijing.

During the Beijing Winter Olympics, Xi Jinping and Putin have repeatedly stressed that their friendship had no limits, no forbidden areas. They joined forces numerously to openly oppose NATO’s eastward expansion. After Putin’s aggression against Ukraine, it was revealed that the Xi Jinping was already aware of Russia’s plans to invade Ukraine. In addition, the CCP regime not only refuses to condemn Putin’s administration, it showed support for Russia in the UN vote several times, not to mention the opposing in sanctions against Russia.

Stoltenberg also invited the foreign ministers of Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand to the meeting on the same day. Stoltenberg noted that this would have “disastrous consequences all over the world,” given that the CCP has joined Moscow and repeatedly blocked the options for nations to make statements against them. For this reason, NATO and its partners in the Asia-Pacific region must unite to defend the values to which the civilized world has always adhered.
