NATO Will Deploy 300,000 Troops To The Eastern Border With Russia

NATO is discussing the concentration of military forces to prevent the expansion of Russia’s war of aggression into countries and regions beyond Ukraine. NATO military leaders will present their latest regional defense plan, which will assemble more than 300,000 soldiers to strengthen the eastern borders with Russia.Such a buildup would require the 30 NATO members to provide soldiers, training facilities, and large quantities of weapons, equipment and ammunition, which would be challenging for NATO members and would require a great deal of coordination and effort. The first echelon of NATO troops consists of approximately 100,000 soldiers ready to deploy in 10 days. It may include troops from Poland, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The second echelon of troops, a support force, will be dispatched from Germany and other countries and deployed within 10-30 days.
