U.S. Senators Urge The U.S. DOJ To Take Action On Tracing The Origin Of COVID

According to reports on March 16, Republican senators are urging the U.S. Department of Justice to take legal action against the role of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in the COVID pandemic after the U.S. federal government report acknowledged the Wuhan laboratory leak. Republican Senator Rick Scott and five other Republican Senators in Congress (being, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Mike Braun, Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty) sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland on May 15, asking about the US Department of Energy’s report on the cause of the Covid pandemic, what legal action the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) plans to take against the CCP, and asks it to identify any “legal obstacles” that exist here. The “lab-leak theory” was regarded as a “conspiracy theory” and “misinformation” by most if not all of the mainstream media. As time progressed and more evidence appeared, it then got more support than the “natural origin” claim pushed by another group of scientists. The U.S. Senate and House of Representatives unanimously passed legislation proposed by Senator Josh Hawley with 0 votes against it, which requires the Biden administration to declassify any intelligence related to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) and the origin of the pandemic.
