According to the Post Millennial report on June 7, the Canadian Airports Council once again urged the Trudeau government to immediately lift all vaccine passports and travel restrictions on air passengers and airline employees.
The Canadian aviation community has supported the federal government’s vaccination mandate since November last year and is fully cooperating with authorities in enforcing vaccine passports and travel regulations. In order to support the recovery of the country’s air tourism industry and increase its competitiveness globally, with all provinces now having cancelled vaccine passports, Canada must align with the international community and actively join the 50 countries that have lifted travel restrictions in the ranks.
The Liberal government’s vaccine passport system, which has been available to domestic and foreign travellers since October, is still in operation despite growing opposition. In addition, travel restrictions have plagued the airport, and the congestion and delays at Toronto Pearson Airport have unabated, and a large number of passengers have suffered as a result.
