The Deputy Speaker of the Slovakian Parliament Delegation Visit Taiwan

On June 5, the Deputy Speaker of the Slovakian Parliament, Milan Laurencik, leads a delegation to Taiwan for a five-day visit. The purpose of this trip is to promote exchanges between the Congresses and cities of the two countries, and to deepen cooperation in various fields such as economy, trade, science, and technology.

Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the Slovakian delegation will meet with President Tsai Ing-wen, premier Su Tseng-chang, and other senior officials of the Taiwan government, hold an investment promotion briefing and visit the municipal construction in Taiwan. Foreign Minister Joseph Wu will present the “Friendship Diplomacy Medal” to Osusky, Chairman of the Slovakian Parliamentary Friendship Group, in recognition of his contributions to deepening bilateral relations. The two countries will also sign a bilateral Civil and Commercial legal Cooperation Agreement.”

Member of the delegation, Governor of Slovakia’s Bratislava Province Drogba said that the visit will strengthen the friendship between the two countries and plans to sign a partnership agreement with Kaohsiung City. Laurencik, head of the visiting delegation, pointed out that Slovakia support Taiwan with practical actions, and visit of this group is the best proof.
