Japan PM Accuses CCP Of Unilaterally Exploiting East China Sea Resources

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida reportedly said on May 21 that he was disappointed in Communist China’s efforts to develop areas in the East China Sea unilaterally, saying that it was “unacceptable.”

The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out on the 20th that it has confirmed that the Chinese authorities are developing natural gas fields in the East China Sea.

Tokyo has accused Communist China of positioning 17 suspected drilling rigs close to the de facto maritime border with Japan. The rigs are on Communist China’s border side, but Tokyo fears gas on the Japanese side can also be extracted.The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) claims sovereignty over the Senkakus and regularly sends ships and aircraft into the area to test Tokyo’s response. The CCP also has disputes with several other nations in the South China Sea, claiming sovereignty over most of it.
