Republican Lawmakers Jointly Request Daszak And Collins For Information On COVID-19 Origins

On February 13th, Brad Wenstrup, the chairman of Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, along with Republican members on the committee, jointly wrote to Peter Daszak, President of EcoHealth Alliance and Francis Collins, Acting Science Advisor to the President, requesting their cooperation in the investigation into COVID origins.

The committee also outlined a list of 40 government officials and virologists requested in this testimony. This is a further action by the committee to require important individuals involved to provide information within a limited time frame, following their earlier request for Anthony Fauci to be available for congressional investigation at any time. The requested information to be submitted by February 20th includes official phone records of relevant institutions from February 17th, 2022 through present, including both landline and mobile phones; all documents and communication records among officials of the three major health departments regarding the Wuhan Institute of Virology; all telephone conferences related to the origins of the COVID-19 virus on February 1st, 2020, or any subsequent related documents and communication records: drafts, publications, and critical reviews of the “proximal origin” of the COVID-19 virus, as well as all related documents and communication records published in the journal Nature, and so on.“The American people deserve real answers after years of suffering through the Coronavirus pandemic and related government policies. This investigation must begin with where and how this virus came about so that we can attempt to predict, prepare or prevent it from happening again. Government scientists and government funded researchers have so far been less-than-forthcoming in their knowledge and actions,” said Select Subcommittee Chairman Wenstrup.
