Hundreds Of Chinese Depositors Protest Against Authorities In Zhengzhou

In the early morning of June 25th, over 300 victims of suspected scams at Henan village and town banks from various provinces and cities gathered in front of the Henan Office of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (HOCBIRC) to sit in protest, and report the local HOCBIRC officials for negligence and malfeasance in their real names.

Depositors who were unable to withdraw money from Henan Rural Banks went to the Henan Banking and Insurance Regulatory Bureau to report official malfeasance on June 25. They hung up white cloth banners with the words “Henan Village Bank, pay back my life savings”. (Photo Source: The Epoch Times)Since mid-April, depositors of several village and town banks in Henan province found that they could not withdraw their deposits one after another. Hundreds of them rushed to these banks in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, to protest.

In order to prevent the protests, the Zhengzhou authorities turned some of the depositors’s COVID-19 health codes into red, so they could be forcibly quarantined or restricted from traveling.

This move sparked public outrage. The authorities announced to punish several officials under pressure, but the people’s demands for obtaining cash freely have not been resolved.

As of June 24th, some depositors claimed online that they still had “red code” when they arrived in Zhengzhou. The authorities uses the so-called “health code” originally designed for pandemic prevention to control the depositors’ legitimate rights, which is outrageous.

Under the dictatorship system of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), it is very common that bureaucrats shield each other. The CCP officials use public power to trample the law and treat the interests of the common people as dung.

Most of those banks’ victims are unaware of the CCP’s evil nature. They should join the New Federal State of China, so they can wake up as soon as possible.
