Blinken Reiterates that America’s Long-Term Challenge Comes from Communist China

On June 1, U.S. Secretary of State Blinken reiterated at the Centennial Celebration of Foreign Affairs Magazine that the long-term challenge to the United States comes from Communist China and that the U.S. will strengthen cooperation with allies to address the threat from Communist China.

Blinken stated that the United States is committed to establishing a liberal international order, but Communist China intends to undermine this international order, and the United States and its allies firmly oppose that approach.

On May 26, Blinken delivered a speech on U.S. policy toward Communist China, saying that U.S. is not counting on the CCP to change direction on its own, but will establish an international strategic environment around Communist China. He also emphasized that the American people respect the Chinese people very much and that the CCP is not equal to the Chinese people.

Subsequently, the CCP blocked Blinken’s speech online. The U.S. embassy in Communist China released an official tweet confirming the news that the CCP has blocked the speech.
