Biden: US military will directly defend Taiwan

On May 23rd, President Biden said during his visit to Japan that the United States would take military action to defend Taiwan if Communist China tries to invade it by force.

When asked whether the U.S. would intervene militarily if Communist China invaded Taiwan by force, Biden said, “Yes, that’s the commitment we made”. In his speech, Biden emphasized that the U.S. maintains a “One China Policy”, which recognizes but does not support that Communist China considers Taiwan part of its territory, and that the policy does not give Communist China the jurisdiction to go in and use force to take over Taiwan. Biden said that the U.S. agrees with the “One China Policy” and with the attendant agreements made based on the policy, but the idea of taking Taiwan by force is not appropriate.

Biden expressed his expectation that Communist China will not attempt to invade Taiwan by force, let alone truly invade Taiwan. And all leaders must send a strong message that if Communist China were to take military action, it would lead to serious consequences.Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan said that Japan will not tolerate the practice of changing the status quo by force provoked by one country in Asia. The U.S. has made it clear that if Communist China invades Taiwan, the US will help Taiwan take down the Chinese Communist Party. What we are seeing now regarding the U.S. policy on Taiwan truly confirms the messages that our Whistleblower Movement has been trying to deliver to the world in the past years.
