Biden’s Visit to South Korea

On May 18th, South Korea’s “Aju Daily” reported that U.S. President Biden will arrive in South Korea on the 20th, or first go to Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek Semiconductor Park to inspect and deliver a brief speech, during the inspection, Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong may accompany him.

In a recent policy speech, South Korean President Yun Seok-yeol said that he will discuss with Biden, a plan to strengthen supply chain cooperation through the “Indo-Pacific Economic Framework” (IPEF), which means that South Korea has decided to join IPEF as an initial member to ensure supply chain stability.
