U.S. Holds A Hearing On Forced Organ Harvesting In Communist China

According to related media reports on May 12, the U.S. Lantos Human Rights Commission held a hearing the same day on forced organ harvesting by the Chinese Communist government. The participants pointed out that the CCP is fundamentally the harvester and trafficker of forcibly acquired organs.

Data shows that the victims of such a cruel practice are mainly religious or ethnic minorities such as Falun Gong practitioners and Uyghurs. In addition, data indicates that the number of transplants performed in the CCP hospitals is many times more than the highest estimates of ethically available donors can account for.Previously, the Stop Forced Organ Harvesting Act, sponsored by both the House and the Senate, demanded that the federal government should sanction foreign officials and entities responsible for forced organ harvesting. At the hearing, Rep. Smith, one of the bill’s sponsors, said the Chinese Communist government has always talked about “people first,” but the “zero CCP virus policy” being implemented in Shanghai today and the continued forced organ harvesting in Communist China have clearly conveyed to the world that the CCP has never treated Chinese people as human beings. Therefore, the United States must stop this genocidal and barbaric practice by the CCP.
