U.S. to Rebuild Military Presence in Somalia

According to WASHINGTON (AP), President Joe Biden signed an order on Monday to deploy U.S. troops to Somalia. The Islamic extremist insurgent al-Shabaab in Mali poses a great threat to the region.

To effectively combat the threat, the United States will rebuild a permanent military presence in Somalia. Previously, former President Donald Trump ordered the withdrawal of local special operations forces.

Subsequently, the CCP expanded its military deployment in Somalia and now the CCP’s influence in Somalia is gradually increasing. U.S. President Biden’s deployment of U.S. troops to Somalia will effectively curb the CCP’s illegal activities in the region.
